Proud partners of Hearing Dogs for Deaf People
Connection, independence, support, and helping people feel less isolated.
At The Sense of Hearing, we believe hearing care is about far more than simply improving sound. It’s about helping people stay connected, independent, confident, and able to fully engage with the world around them.
That’s why we’re delighted to announce the launch of our new partnership with Hearing Dogs for Deaf People.
Hearing Dogs for Deaf People is a wonderful charity that trains dogs to support deaf people and those with hearing loss, helping them live with greater confidence, independence, and companionship. These specially trained dogs alert their owners to important sounds such as doorbells, alarm clocks, smoke alarms, and even a baby crying. Just as importantly, they also provide emotional support, friendship, and reassurance.
What we’re doing and how you can get involved.

Sponsoring a puppy
One of the most exciting parts of the partnership is that The Sense of Hearing will be sponsoring a Hearing Dogs puppy. We’ll be sharing updates as the puppy grows and progresses through training, giving you, our patients and followers, the opportunity to follow their journey.

Fundraising £5,000
As part of the partnership, we are setting ourselves an ambitious goal of raising £5,000 to help support the training of a hearing dog. Over the next 12 months, we’ll be running a range of fundraising and awareness activities, and we hope our patients and wider community will enjoy being part of the journey with us.

Supporting local events
We’ll also be supporting Hearing Dogs for Deaf People at local events and markets across the area, helping to raise awareness of the charity and the incredible work they do. This will include sharing information about hearing loss, promoting the support available, and helping increase awareness of volunteering opportunities within the local community.
An important partnership
Hearing support comes in many forms. While hearing technology can make a huge difference, support, understanding, confidence, and companionship are equally important.
Hearing Dogs for Deaf People changes lives every day, and we’re incredibly proud to support a charity doing such meaningful work.
We’re excited about what this partnership can achieve over the coming months and look forward to sharing the journey with our patients, followers, and local community.
Together, we hope to help even more people feel connected, supported, and heard.
