Celebrating again: The Sense of Hearing named a Cherwell Business Awards Finalist
We’re delighted to share some exciting news! The Sense of Hearing has been named a finalist in the New Business Award at the 2026 Cherwell Business Awards.
After being shortlisted in two categories at last year’s awards, it means a great deal to once again have our Banbury-based independent hearing practice recognised amongst some fantastic local businesses.
This year, we have been shortlisted for the New Business Award, alongside fellow finalists Intake Talent and Middle Aston Pet Supplies.
Continuing to grow
The Sense of Hearing was founded with the aim of providing professional, personalised hearing care in the heart of Banbury.
From the beginning, we wanted to offer people an alternative to larger chain providers – somewhere patients are treated as individuals, given the time they need and provided with independent advice and ongoing support tailored to their hearing, lifestyle and budget.
Over the past year, we’ve continued to develop the practice, welcome new patients and strengthen our links with the local community, while maintaining the personal approach that has always been so important to us.
To have that recognised by the Cherwell Business Awards for a second year is something we’re incredibly pleased about.
David Peel, founder and Hearing Aid Audiologist at The Sense of Hearing, said:
“We’re delighted to be a finalist in the New Business Award again this year. Building The Sense of Hearing has always been about providing the highest level of customer service and giving people a more personal approach to their hearing care.
“To be recognised alongside other growing local businesses means a great deal to us. We’re very grateful to all our patients and everyone who has supported The Sense of Hearing since we opened.”
Looking forward to the Awards
We’ll now be looking forward to the Cherwell Business Awards Gala Dinner and Awards Ceremony on Friday 18 September, where the winners will be announced.
Whatever happens on the night, being selected as a finalist is a fantastic recognition of how far The Sense of Hearing has come.
A huge thank you to all our patients, supporters and the wider local community for continuing to support our independent practice.
We’ll be keeping our fingers crossed for September!
