Launching our partnership with Hearing Dogs for Deaf People

At The Sense of Hearing, we believe hearing care is about far more than simply improving sound. It’s about helping people stay connected, independent, confident, and able to fully engage with the world around them. That’s why we’re delighted to announce the launch of our new partnership with Hearing Dogs for Deaf People.

Hearing Dogs for Deaf People is a wonderful charity that trains dogs to support deaf people and those with hearing loss, helping them live with greater confidence, independence, and companionship. These specially trained dogs alert their owners to important sounds such as doorbells, alarm clocks, smoke alarms, and even a baby crying. Just as importantly, they also provide emotional support, friendship, and reassurance.

For us, this partnership feels like a natural fit.

Every day at The Sense of Hearing, we see first-hand how hearing loss can affect people’s everyday lives. Conversations can become more tiring, social situations more difficult, and confidence can gradually reduce over time. We are passionate about helping people hear as well as they can and supporting them in finding solutions that improve quality of life.

Hearing Dogs for Deaf People shares many of those same values - connection, independence, support, and helping people feel less isolated.

Our £5,000 fundraising goal

As part of the partnership, we are setting ourselves an ambitious goal of raising £5,000 to help support the training of a hearing dog.

Over the next 12 months, we’ll be running a range of fundraising and awareness activities, and we hope our patients and wider community will enjoy being part of the journey with us.

Sponsoring a Hearing Dog puppy

One of the most exciting parts of the partnership is that The Sense of Hearing will be sponsoring a Hearing Dogs puppy. We’ll be sharing updates as the puppy grows and progresses through training, giving our patients and followers the opportunity to follow their journey.

We’re looking forward to introducing everyone to the puppy very soon.

Supporting local events and awareness

We’ll also be supporting Hearing Dogs for Deaf People at local events and markets across the area, helping to raise awareness of the charity and the incredible work they do.

This will include sharing information about hearing loss, promoting the support available, and helping increase awareness of volunteering opportunities within the local community.

Fundraising plans

Throughout the year, we’ll be launching a variety of fundraising initiatives to help us work towards our £5,000 target.

This will include:

  • Donations linked to hearing aid sales

  • In-clinic fundraising activities

  • Community awareness events

  • Opportunities for patients and supporters to get involved

We’re hoping this becomes something the whole community can support together.

Why this partnership is important to us

Hearing support comes in many forms. While hearing technology can make a huge difference, support, understanding, confidence, and companionship are equally important.

Hearing Dogs for Deaf People changes lives every day, and we’re incredibly proud to support a charity doing such meaningful work.

We’re excited about what this partnership can achieve over the coming months and look forward to sharing the journey with our patients, followers, and local community.

Together, we hope to help even more people feel connected, supported, and heard.

And the beauty of Spot On Creative is that we’re big in creativity, experience and knowledge, but small in overheads and invoices. So we’re a much more sensible and affordable option for you than a larger advertising agency or marketing company.
